Competition is very high between two products that can easily be replaced with eachother; iPhones and Blackberrys. Iphone and Blackberry companies are always competing with eachother and trying to come out with the lastest technology, for example, iPhone came out with an ipad last year, which is a line of tablet computers that can be used for audio-visual media including books, periodicals, movies, music, games, and web content. After this release, Blackberry is coming out with a similar concept called the "playbook." Deciding which one is better is a very controversial issue because people have different preferences, some may like the iPhones touch screen better, while the other may like using Blackberry's keyboard. There are many similarities between the two, for example, both devices can run on battery alone for three hours in constant use and approximately eleven hours of idling. Both mobile devices are in the same price range, depending on the model and plan you decide to get, because the price range is similar, the game gets more competitive.
Advantages of iPhones over Blackberrys:
- Integraded web browser. The iPhone is able to display web pages as they are and not in a smaller version, like the blackberrys or other smart phones.
- Applications. Although both devices have applications, the amount of applications that iPhone has compared to blackberry is uncomparable. Almost anything can be done using the app world on iPhones.
-Touch screen. Many iPhone users say that after getting used to the touch screen, they prefer it more than a keyboard.
- Face Time. This is an application that iPhones have which is a webcam installed into the device and allows people with iPhones or Mac computers have live video chats.
Advantages of Blackberrys over iPhones:
- BBM (blackberry messenger). Bbm is a form of live chat between Blackberry users.
-Blackberry has removable and expandable battery and memory, while iPhones are fixed.
- Blackberry is available in five form factors – small keyboard, large keyboard, no keyboard, flip phone, and candy-bar.
